Features

3D Box Viewer is a program for Windows intended for showing videogame scanned boxes in your screen. Its main utility is to use in conjunction with a front-end like MAMEWAH, MALA, …

The main features of 3D Box Viewer are:

  • Low hardware requirements: The program doesn´t need a powerfull computer since it´s really simple. If you have Windows 98 (or above) and directx 7 capable video card you are ready to go.
  • Command line operation: Maybe command line looks ugly to you, but this way you can use the program for different purposes. Launch it from any front-end, use it to convert hundred of images to 3D boxes, use different configurations…
  • Highly configurable: The program is really, really, really simple… but almost everything you view is configurable. Faces colours, light colour, light brightness, box shininess, “shadow” colour, “shadow” alpha, “shadow” blend mode, screen resolution, background image… and more to come.
  • Error log creation: If you want, you can enable an error log to show you (and help me ;) ) why is not working right the program.
  • Built-in image capturing: Simply press a key to capture a snapshot of the current view.
