On XX/XX, Geezup and me started the No-Intro Screenshot Archive to collect two image captures and two scans of every console cartridge ever published (well, actually not for all systems but for all the No-Intro Project covered systems).
Really soon, people started to submit us images scanned by themselves or found around internet. We got gigabytes and gigabytes of images.
During a time, we cropped or deleted some images because we were only interested in front covers and back covers, but not in boxes sides. It was a shame, there were really pretty boxes around. On the other hand, just two images doesn´t give you the “feel” of the actual thing, a box is a box, something you can turn and view from differnt sides and perspectives… not just six images.
I searched around internet to find a simple program wich makes possible to mount virtual boxes and apply them the scans to create a better representation of those pieces of art wich videogame boxes are (sometimes).
But I didn´t find anything… so I started to code my own viewer
. I don´t know much about programming, but almost I got a working program wich I can improve and depurate.
